LEWISTON — The upper levels of the Chestnut Street parking garage will be closed for three weeks as crews work to rehab parts of the structure.
City officials said levels 2, 3 and 4 will be closed between Oct. 9 and the end of the month. The bottom level will remain open.
The work will repair the garage traffic membrane, which protects concrete decks from salt and calcium chloride used in winter de-icing.
Tenants of nearby apartments who use the garage for overnight parking were being assigned new temporary spots in the garage’s lower level.
