AUBURN — Paul E. Rodrigue, 84, formerly of Pettingill Street, Lewiston, died Friday, Oct. 6, at Schooner Residential Care. Born in Lewiston on August 28, 1933, a son of the late Joseph B. and Amanda Angers Rodrigue. He attended St. Peter’s School and graduated from St. Dominic’s High School in the Class of 1952. He served in the U. S. Navy on the U.S.S. Juneau during the Korean Conflict between 1952 to 1956.

Mr. Rodrigue was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish at Sacred Heart Church. Paul worked at Knapp Shoe before starting his career at U.S. Post Office in Auburn where he worked for over 26 years retiring in 1991. He also was a member of the American Legion Post 22 of Lewiston, life member of the Derby Club, NARFE National Association Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1804, AARP and Horizon 55. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching local softball games in Lewiston-Auburn, the Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots.

He will be remembered for his love and compassion toward others, his unselfish spirit, his philanthrophy, and devotion to his family. He was also predeceased by his brothers Fernand, Robert, Reginald and Raymond (Peanut) Rodrigue.

He is survived by his sister Fernande Nadeau, nieces Diane & Jeanne Rodrigue, Lisa Nadeau Casey and husband, Alexis.
