Sons of Italy to meet
RUMFORD — Sons of Italy Lodge 467 will meet at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 15, at the lodge, Route 108.
There will be a light lunch following the meeting. Members may bring a guest.
Snowmobile club to meet
MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall.

BETHEL — SeniorsPlus will be in Bethel from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at Norway Savings Bank.
Representatives will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns community members may have about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.

Deer hunting talk at Society
PARIS — Paris Cape Historical Society will host Maine game warden Timothy Coombs of Stoneham during its next meeting.
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at 77 High St.
Coombs will speak on deer hunting season, including this year’s rules and regulations.
Everyone is welcome. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
Storytellers Guild to meet
FARMINGTON — The Western Order of Dedicated Storytellers Guild monthly meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, at St. Joseph Parish, 133 Middle St.

Hiker to present at RPL
RUMFORD — Greg Westrich will present a slideshow and discussion about hiking in Maine and New Hampshire at Rumford Public Library
The program, which is free and open to the public, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in the library’s Public Room.
Westrich has hiked more than 400 miles in Baxter State Park in the last two years and has climbed Mount Katahdin eight times. He has written five books on hiking in Maine.
RPL Friends annual meeting
RUMFORD — The Friends of the Rumford Public Library will hold the annual meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in the public room.
All past and present members, as well those interested in joining the group, are invited.

Rumford Seniors seek donations
PERU — The Rumford Seniors are seeking donations, including baked goods, for its Christmas Fair, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at the center in the old Peru School.
Donations may be dropped off when the center is open from 9 to 11 a.m. Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
