AUBURN — Erwin G. Heath, 89, of Greene, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 11, at Clover Manor in Auburn. He was born in West Sumner on Oct. 21, 1927, a son of the late George and Clara (Chandler) Heath. He grew up in the area and attended local schools there. He was a graduate of West Paris High School.
On Aug. 7, 1948, he married Barbara K. Slattery, and they started a family together. During that time, Erwin worked to provide for his family for almost 40 years on the Line Department for Central Maine Power. He was a member of the East Auburn Baptist Church in Auburn. He will be deeply missed by many.
He is survived by his four children, Bonnie Bodlien and her husband Dennis, of Michigan, Holly Nepote and her husband Robert, of Florida, Nanci Blier of Harrison and Darryl Heath and his wife Joyce, of Auburn. He also leaves behind his six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Barbara, in 1994; his siblings, Marion Dillingham, Beverly Farrington, Barbara Bellegarde, Stanley Heath, Wayne Lawrence and Esther Lawrence; and a granddaughter, Kathryn Webster.
