TURNER — The Leavitt Area High School Project Graduation Committee is planning fundraising events to support a safe night for the 2018 graduating class. The committee announces the following events:

Nov. 11: Gift Basket Raffle at the LAHS Annual Craft Fair, Turner.

Dec. 1: Comedy Night at Mixers in Sabattus.

March 31, 2018: Annual Project Graduation Auction at LAHS.

The Project Grad table will be set up at the Leavitt Craft Fair. Raffle baskets will include themes such as Chocolate, Maine-Made, Dorm Room, Pet Lovers, Winter Fun and Tailgating Sports. Tickets will be $1 a chance or six for $5. There will also be tickets available for the Comedy Night. More information will be published as the event dates get closer.

The committee has set March 31 as the date for the annual Project Graduation Auction to be held at Leavitt Area High School. They will be looking for donations throughout the winter.

The goal of Project Graduation is to send the Class of 2018 (128 graduates) to the Alfond Youth Center in Waterville for a chem-free celebration after graduation ceremonies on June 10. The all-night event will include swimming, dancing, rock-wall climbing and multiple sports activities organized by G-Force. There are also plans to hire hypnotist/magician David Hall, as well as food and door prizes.
