LEWISTON — Sandra “Sandy” Ethridge brightened heaven’s gate on Thursday, Oct. 12, peacefully with her family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 31, 1945, to the late Earl “Pete” Osborne and Jacqueline McNally. Her passion for stitching led her to many years of fancy stitching in the shoe shops. She spent her spare time making curtains and crocheting slippers for family and friends. Sandy has shared the last 50 years with her husband and soulmate, Willis “Bill” Ethridge. Her love for her family was her strongest characteristic.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Ethridge, and fur baby, Cookie of Greene; her son, Phillip Gagnon, his partner, Rachel Wiggins and granddaughter, Baillis Gagnon of Gardner, Kan.; her daughter, Angie and son-in-law, Toby Bisson of Greene; her grandson, Dustin Bisson and his fiance, Kali Laganiere of Hartford; her granddaughter, Jordan and her husband, Justin Carey, and the apple of her eye, great-grandson, Hunter Carey of Greene; her adopted daughter, Lisa Gray and her family, of Leeds; stepchildren, John Ethridge, Billy Ethridge, Jane Spurling, Carol Kinder and their famlies. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna, Brenda, Tina, Margie and Wanda; her two brothers, Earl “Joe” and Steve; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sandy was predeceased by two sisters, Norma “Tinky” Corriveau and Geraldine “Gerry” Lachapelle.
