AUBURN — Roger M. Boivin, 61, of Leeds, died Oct. 12, at the Hospice House in Auburn.
He was born Jan. 16, 1956, to Maynard and Jennie Boivin in Waterville. Roger worked as a farmer at Addition Farms in Leeds, the Sun Journal in Lewiston and ended his working days at VIP Warehouse in Lewiston several years ago.
Roger was a member of the Unity Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, old cars, spending time with family and barbecues with neighbors at Spring Rock Park in Leeds and hanging at the Shack with his buddy Donnie Nazaroff.
Roger was predeceased by his parents.
Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Arsenault and husband, Shane of Turner; son, Travis Boivin of Leeds; daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Boivin of Wales; ex-wife, Karen Fish of Leeds; grandchildren, Landen and Logan Arsenault, Talan and Tempeste Boivin and MacKenzie Swett; brothers, Raymond Boivin and wife, Heidi of Plymouth, Randal Boivin and companion, Mike Coro of Augusta, Rayno Boivin of Unity and Ryan Boivin; sister, Renee Boivin of Coopers Mills; uncle, Maurice Boivin and wife, Debbie of Enfield, N.H.; along with several nieces and nephews.
A special thank-you to nurses and staff at Marshwood Rehab Center in Lewiston for providing care to Roger for several months and an extra special thank-you to Hospice House in Auburn for making Roger’s last days comfortable.
