According to a family member, Joan Joy Tibbetts, Wrentzel was on property gifted to her by her grandmother, Beverly Spofford of Hebron.

Wrentzel was pronounced dead at the scene, Maine Warden Service spokesman John MacDonald said.

The shooting occurred around 10 a.m, and authorities have identified the shooter as a 38-year-old man who was hunting with his father. Both men are being interviewed by the Maine Warden Service.

The shooting occurred in a heavily wooded area about 250 yards from Greenwood Mountain Road.
