Mayoral candidate Ben Chin has a genuine smile but takes serious the concerns residents talk to him about code enforcement, property tax and schools, etc.
Chin has done more for Lewiston residents but at a higher level than his opponents. He has been one of the leaders on raising the minimum wage, reducing property taxes while fighting for better school funding from the state and lowering prescription drug cost for the elderly.
He has been a champion on voter rights. He will honor and respect the will of the people in their vote on the merger.
All the mayoral candidates agreed at the debate that Lewiston’s image needs to change to attract young professionals and keep young adults here. What better way than to elect a young professional to be mayor and ambassador?
I will be voting for Ben Chin for mayor on Nov. 7. Lewiston needs change.
Diane Grandmaison, Lewiston
