Auburn residents should send Belinda Gerry back to the city council. No one takes her public servant position more seriously. She has a personal commitment to fully understand every council issue and has been one of the most available and accessible elected officials of modern time.
She exhibited the same work ethic when she represented Auburn in the Legislature, arriving early to an empty chamber and sorting through the lengthy House Calendar to spot anything being sneaked through, especially any wasteful spending.
She is a founding member of the anti-merger group COLAC and, if elected, is determined to make sure people don’t get this merger nonsense pushed on residents again.
I hope others will join me in voting for excellence and sincerity and elect Belinda Gerry as Auburn’s at-large council member.
John Michael, Auburn
