I recommend that my neighbors and fellow citizens vote for Ben Chin for mayor. I do so because I believe that his character and his plans are the best for Lewiston.
Chin has demonstrated a capacity to withstand the sometimes vicious side of politics with grace and fortitude. He has focused his career on serving, with admirable tenacity and effectiveness, the interests of those in the community who don’t have lawyers and lobbyists on speed dial.
Moreover, he imagines a future for Lewiston that does not put the interest of ordinary citizens and local business owners in needless competition.
He has, additionally, shown a great deal of respect for voters by offering not mindless slogans, but detailed, thoughtful plans that lay out a road map for creating a city where people can live with dignity and work with success.
I will be voting for Ben Chin for mayor.
