AUBURN — Police said they are “still chasing leads” in a case in which a Park Avenue woman was tied up at her home when she apparently interrupted a robbery last month.

Deputy Chief Jason Moen wrote in an email this week that police had no new information to release on the Oct. 12 incident in which a pair of men stole a motorcycle and an SUV after robbing the homeowner at gunpoint and binding her before fleeing with the stolen vehicles.

The motorcycle was recovered a short time later in Poland, but there apparently has been no sign of the stolen Ford Explorer or the men who took it.

A man who lives nearby, at the Summer Street end of Park Avenue, reported that his home had been ransacked the same day, but it appeared that no valuables had been taken. A neighbor of his who lives upstairs reported that jewelry had been taken from her apartment.

The robbery and burglaries occurred during the afternoon, police said.
