LEWISTON — Sadie Wing, 71, of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 31, at Central Maine Medical Center.

She was born in Belfast on Oct. 22, 1946, the daughter of Charles and Virginia Harvey Moody Sr. Sadie graduated from Jay High School and had been employed at Hale Mill for many years and later at Bass Shoe, retiring in 1989. She enjoyed quilting and shopping for other people. She loved spending time with her family. She was an instant “Nana” to any kid and would give the shirt off her back to anyone. She will be deeply missed and her family loved her to the moon and back. She married William H. Wing on Aug. 6, 1995.

She is survived by her children, Paolo Dellasandro and Tina, Ted McLaughlin and Becky, Trina Cray and Charles and Ricky McLaughlin and Marie; grandchildren, Ashton, Coty and Jacob, Shakayla, Shatesha, Alexis, Mercedes, Sasha, Derik, Joshua, Heather, Barbara, Lucas, Michele, Charley, Toney, Charlie and Christopher; lots of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Emily Moody; brother-in-law, Richard Martin; and her longtime childhood friend, Anna Sockbeson. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Virginia Moody; her husband, William; her brother, Charlie Moody; and sisters, Georgia Martin, Marilyn Gordon, Joanne Oldenberg, Zoradie Jackson, Elizabeth Coolidge and Diane Corbett.
