SOUTH PARIS — Janice D. Francis, 82, of Mechanic Falls, passed away on Friday, Nov. 3, at Market Square Health Care Center.
She was born in Lewiston on May 29, 1935, the daughter of Floyd and Stella Clark Harding. She graduated from Edward Little High School and had been a CNA at Clover Manor for many years as well as taking care of people in their own homes.
She was a member of the American Legion Post #150 Auxiliary in Mechanic Falls. She married Quimby Francis on Aug. 21, 1983.
Janice is survived by her son, Scott Jones of Minot; her daughter, Brenda Jones of Oxford; her son, Brian Jones of Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; step-children, Randal Madore, Marshall Francis and Gerald Francis, all of Mechanic Falls, Christine Ryan of Manchester, N.H., and Lawrence Francis of Mexico.
She was predeceased by her husband, Quimby, in 2012; a son, Danny DeCoster; sisters, Ann Nichols, Beverly Sprigg and Gertrude Adler; and brother, Richard Harding.
