FARMINGTON — The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area is hosting the Great Charity Auction on Saturday, Nov. 18, in the North Dining Hall, University of Maine at Farmington.
The silent and live auction will begin at 5 p.m. on Nov. 18, at an Early Bird Social, silent auction and live auction preview from 5 to 6 p.m. with a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. The live auction will start at 6 p.m. with auctioneers Adrian and Jeff Harris.

NEW VINEYARD — New Vineyard Public Library has announced it will celebrate the 10th annual craft and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Smith Hall.
Many crafters will be returning with such gifts as hand knitted items, turned wooden bowls, wreathes and kissing balls and art and photographs. New vendors will sell metal work, folk art and seasonal decorations. There will be a bake sale featuring pies for Thanksgiving.
Proceeds will benefit the New Vineyard Public Library.
