Caleb Yarnevich talks with Evy Bilodeau while helping to pack 100 care bags for truck drivers at Edward Little High School in Auburn on Tuesday. Bilodeau, a senior at the school, organized a service project with other members of the National Honor Society to stuff bags with items such as toothpaste, snacks, a baseball cap, bottled water and homemade cookies made by a student’s dad. The NHS students will deliver the care bags to truck drivers in Kennebunk on Wednesday and in Auburn on Thanksgiving morning. Bridget LaRoche of Turner has been organizing the annual “TrucksGiving,” but was unable to this year. NHS adviser Maureen Edgerton heard about the event not happening this holiday and brought it to the attention of her students. “They thought it was a great idea,” Edgerton said.
