Marine Corps League seeks membership

LEWISTON — Marine Corps League Central Maine Detachment 810 will host its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. 

All U.S. Marines, FMF Corpsman and Navy Chaplains are invited. Anyone interested in Marines Helping Veterans is also invited to attend. New members are sought. 

Lewiston Bridge Club to play

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club plays at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.

A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed.

MECHANIC FALLS — Mechanic Falls Public Library holds Story Hour and Craft Time from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Mondays except holidays.

Story Hour is geared for ages 2 to 5.

No trash pickup in Auburn

AUBURN — The city of Auburn has announced that curbside residential trash and recycling will not be collected on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23. There is no alternate pick up day. 

Residents are reminded that trash and recycling can be dropped off at Mid Maine Waste Action Corporation from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, and from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 26, at 110 Goldthwaite Road.

Trash and recycling will resume on Friday, Nov. 24. Residential waste and recyclables should be placed curbside by 7 a.m.
