Courtney Schlachter tidies up the shelves at Quiet City Books in downtown Lewiston on Friday. Schlachter said her shop is participating in Small Business Saturday along with a few other independent shops in downtown Lewiston and Auburn. Schlachter said Small Business Saturday has been a good thing for small shops such as Quiet City. “I think people want to tone it down a bit right after Black Friday.” The bookstore moved into its new location under Rainbow Bicycle at the end of April.
