LEWISTON — Those who have ever shared a life with a pet know that love changes everything. It changes routines. It changes your perspective. Sharing life with a pet can change the world for that animal.

That’s why The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society and Coastal Humane Society will be hosting pet adoption events with the Petco Foundation.

Greater Androscoggin Humane Society’s adoptions will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 3, at 105 Mount Auburn Ave., Auburn.

GAHS will have a special adopt one kitten, get one kitten free; and all adult cats and dogs adopters will be able to name their own adoption fee.

Coastal Humane Society’s adoptions will be from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 2, and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at 131 Topsham Fair Mall Road.

All pets will be spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and current on vaccinations before going to their new home.
