Golden Age Club plans Christmas party

LEWISTON — The IHM Golden Age Club will have its Christmas Party on Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Rolandeau’s Restaurant on Washington Street.

There will be singing and a gift swap with a gift limit of $10. 

The club will gather between 11:30 a.m. and noon and eat lunch at noon. Those attending are responsible for their payment.

Reservations are required by Sunday, Dec. 10. New members and guests are welcome. 

The club will meet next in March.

Center seeks volunteer companions 

LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women is seeking volunteer applicants for companions.

The companion role requires women to have a professional background in social work, teaching, nursing, chaplaincy or other related fields, and companions work with local women. The commitment is a half-day weekly.
