I support Ben Chin for mayor of Lewiston. Chin graduated from Bates College, one of Lewiston’s largest employers. He chose to make Lewiston his home with his wife and two children. Through his job with the Maine People’s Alliance, of which I am a member, he has worked hard in Augusta fighting for seniors, health care, funding for education that was promised years ago and so much more. He knows the legislative process and can do far more as mayor of Lewiston.
I visited his website and viewed his plan for Lewiston, which includes rebuilding welfare to work; small business plan; the belonging agenda; tax fairness for seniors, homeowners and landlords; code enforcement reform; and housing rehabilitation loans.
Young people are needed to sustain this city. What better way than to have a young mayor as an ambassador to appeal to young professionals.
