The town of Rumford winter parking ban is in effect until April 15.

Vehicles cannot be left parked on the street for more than two hours between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. In no event can a vehicle be left on the street between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. if it interferes with snow removal.

For any vehicle that is towed for interfering with snow removal, the parking ticket must be paid prior to retrieving the vehicle. Fines will be doubled on parking tickets not paid within 10 days.

Snow cannot be plowed to within a 3-foot radius of any fire hydrant or fire alarm call box. Snow and ice cannot be plowed on any public way or right of way that interferes with the free passage of vehicles or foot traffic.
