Bald Hill will perform at Guthries, 115 Middle St., Lewiston, Friday, Dec. 15, beginning at 8 p.m. Bald Hill is Ben DeTroy on mandolin and fiddle; Chris Ricardi on guitar; Renée St. Jean on vocals and guitar; Hal Phillips on vocals and guitar and Todd Burrowes on bass. All hail from New Gloucester and as Ben would say, “Some of us live on Bald Hill; the others wish they did.” Bald Hill might pull out a Jimi Hendricks or Led Zeppelin tune on occasion in addition to their first love, bluegrass. Other big influences are The Dead, The Band, Herb Pedersen and Chris Hillman, The Seldom Scene, and Hank Williams. There is no cover. FMI: 376-3344.
