AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library has announced teen events for January.

Maine Job Corps: Teens and new adults, ages 16 to 24, may obtain information on the Job Corps by contacting Cathie Gavett at 207-458-5369 to find out more about the program and who is eligible. She will arrange a mutually convenient time to meet at the library.

Teen Anime Club: 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, Androscoggin Community Room. Ages 12 to 18 can drop in to talk about their favorite (or least favorite) manga, watch the week’s selection of anime and try a hand at drawing characters. Snacks provided.

Homework Help for Teens: 2:30 to 4 p.m.Thursdays, Jan. 4, 11, 18 and 25, Teen Space. Get help with time management, schedule planning, goal setting and learn how to be successful with homework. The program is for teens in grades seven to 12 and include a healthy snack.

SAPARS: 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, Teen Space. Visit with Julia, advocate from Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services. She will discuss issues, including consent, bullying, sexual assault and harassment, bystander intervention and internet safety. Visits may include question and answer, educational videos or activities. Ages 12 to 18 are welcome. Includes a snack.

Teen Life Skills 2018: Healthy Eating — 10 Tips for Teens: 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 9, 16, 23 and 30, Androscoggin Community Room. A series of four classes, teens will learn how to add more fruits and veggies to their day while learning basic cooking skills. They will make and eat a recipe each class and play games with prizes. Tweens in the Teen Space: noon to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 10, 24 and 31, Teen Space. Tweens in sixth grade are invited for crafts or board games, to get a head start on homework or to hang out.

Gaming Hour: 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 10 and 31, Androscoggin Community Room. Video games and snacks for ages 12 to 18.

Exam Week Stress Reliever — TBA: 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, Teen Space. Check the website and Teen Space Facebook page for updates.

Safe Voices Drop-In Visit: 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, Teen Space. Meet Whitney from Safe Voices and chat about relationships and work on projects. For ages 12 to 18.

Teens! DIY Takeover: Paper Crafts: 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, Teen Space. Make bookmarks or use old books to make art journals and other paper crafts. Materials will be supplied. For ages 12 to 18. Includes a snack.
