ORONO – The 2018 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast Celebration, co-sponsored by the Greater Bangor Area NAACP and the University of Maine Division of Student Life, will be held Jan. 15 at Wells Conference Center on campus.
The family-friendly event will celebrate King’s life and legacy, inspiration, dedication to diversity and social commitment. It will feature food, music and a keynote address.
Doors open at 8 a.m. Tickets are $20; $15 for children ages 12 and under; free for UMaine students with a valid MaineCard. Online registration will be available in the coming weeks; tickets also will be available at the door until they are sold out.
Table sponsorships for organizations are available for $200 through Jan. 12.
