BIDDEFORD — Evan Cox netted a pair of goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as Lewiston defeated Biddeford 5-4 in boys’ ice hockey action Saturday evening.

Cam Dionne, Dustin Larochelle and Alex Robert also scored goals for the Blue Devils.

Goalie Conrad Albert earned the win in net for Lewiston.

Kennebunk 6, Marancook/Winthrop/Madison 0

KENNEBUNK — Senior Zachary Brown collected a pair of goals to lead Kennebunk to a 6-0 shutout over Maranacook/Winthrop/Madison in boys’ ice hockey action Saturday evening.

The Rams scored one, two and three goals in each of the three periods. Jake Sullivan assisted on three of the Rams’ goals.

Goalie Indigo Looper made seven saves to earn the win in net for Kennebunk.

Boys’ basketball

South Portland 53, Oxford Hills 49

PARIS — Senior guard Edward Buckley scored a game-high 18 points to lead South Portland to a 53-49 victory over Oxford Hills in boys’ basketball action Saturday afternoon.

The Red Riots (3-1) took control late in the first half, and paced themselves to hold on to the lead the rest of the way. Senior guard Noah Malone contributed 11 points for South Portland.

Junior guard Spencer Strong led the Vikings (2-3) with 12 points, while junior forward Colton Carson added 10 points and a game-high 15 rebounds in the losing effort.

Girls’ basketball

Oak Hill 47, Hall-Dale 15

FARMINGDALE — Abby Nadeau scored 12 points to lead the Oak Hill girls’ basketball team to a 47-15 win over Hall-Dale on Saturday.

Desirae Dumais added 11 points, highlighted by a pair of 3-pointers, in the winning effort for the Raiders (4-2).

Kayla Searles topped the Bulldogs (2-3) with four points.

Mt. Abram 47, Dirigo 29

DIXFIELD — Summer Ross lit up Dirigo for 18 points in Mt. Abram’s 47-29 girls’ basketball win Saturday.

The Roadrunners (3-3) jumped on the Cougars (0-7) early, leading 19-5 after on quarter.

Lindsay Huff added eight points in the win, and Megan Sorel had seven.

Page Lueders hit a pair of 3-points and led Dirigo with 10 points. Alexa Varnum finished with eight.

Madison 60, Mountain Valley 38

MADISON — Senior guard Ashley Emery and sophomore forward Emily Edgerly each scored a game-high 16 points to lead Madison to a 60-38 victory over Mountain Valley in girls’ basketball action Saturday afternoon.

The Bulldogs (6-0) took a 30-18 halftime lead due to its full-court pressure, and pressed for an advantage in turnovers in the second half. Lauren Hay recorded a game-high 11 rebounds for Madison.

Freshman guard Rylee Sevigny led the Falcons (4-1) with 11 points on four field goals and three free throws in the losing effort.
