LEWISTON — Singer, pianist and songwriter, Mitch Thomas, will perform at the next La Rencontre at the Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St. La Rencontre, “the gathering,” is scheduled for Thursday, January 11, starting at 11:25 a.m.
The cost of the meal and the programs is $12 per person. The doors and the bar open at 10 a.m. Guests may contact the Center office for reservations at 207-783-1585. E-mail reservations may be sent to box office@francocenter.org. La Rencontre is not restricted to French speakers or even those of Franco descent. All are welcome to attend this fun monthly meal and event, as long as spots remain open. The meal will be pot roast, roasted potatoes, carrots, roll and pudding.
After the meal, Thomas, who is also the Center’s executive director, will sing and play a selection of show tunes, other favorites and some of his own original songs. Several raffle prizes will be drawn.
The center is handicapped-accessible and is located on the corner of Cedar and Oxford Streets in the “Little Canada” section of Lewiston, just across the Lown Peace Bridge from New Auburn.
