ROCHESTER, N.H. — Katie Lemieux scored the lone goal for the Lewiston/Monmouth/Oak Hill Blue Devils in their 1-0 victory over York on Thursday in girls’ hockey.

Lemieux’s goal came with just over four minutes remaining in the second period and was assisted by Jordan Mynahan.

Erin Gray of York (4-8) gave up just one goal in net, while Camree

St. Hilaire earned the shutout for Lewiston (12-0).

Boys’ hockey

Lewiston 5, Cheverus 1

PORTLAND — Dustin Larochelle netted a pair of goals on Thursday as Lewiston skated to a 5-1 victory over Cheverus in a mid-season boys’ hockey tilt.

Jack Leblond, Jacob Story and Evan Cox also tallied for the Blue Devils (8-0) to complete the scoring.

Mike Hatch scored the lone goal for Cheverus.

Boys’ basketball

Oxford Hills 61, Cony 55

AUGUSTA — Oxford Hills jumped out to an eight-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back as it defeated Cony 61-55 on Thursday in a boys’ basketball matchup.

The Vikings were led by Spencer Strong’s game-high 19 points, followed by Colton Carson’s 17 and Chris St. Pierre’s 12. Oxford Hills (5-4) also drained 21 free throws on the night.

Cony (5-5) was led by Jordan Roddy who poured in 19. Despite failing to score in the third quarter, the Rams charged back in the fourth, scoring 25. Helping with that charge was Simon McCormick who scored nine.

Yarmouth 46, Gray-NG 35

GRAY — After being down 28-21, Yarmouth’s offense woke up and finished the game on a 25-7 run to finish off Gray-New Gloucester 46-35 in a Class B South matchup on Thursday.

Leading the charge for Yarmouth (7-2) was Jonny Torres who scored 19 with three 3s.

John Martin of Gray-New Gloucester (5-4) led the Patriots with 11 points on three 3s.

Nokomis 78, Mt. Blue 50

FARMINGTON — Nokomis sprinted out to a commanding 13-point lead in the first frame and raced away to a 78-50 rout over Mt. Blue in a boys’ basketball tilt on Thursday.

Zack Hartsgrove led Nokomis (5-5) with 20 points, highlighted by his 1,000th career point. Joshua Smestad chipped in with 17 points in an effective two-man attack.

Mt. Blue (0-10) was paced by James Anderson with 14 points, while Marshall Doyon and Caleb Talbot each added eight.

Girls’ basketball

Edward Little 63, Morse 28

AUBURN — Edward Little sprinted to a 17-2 first quarter lead en route to a 63-28 victory over Morse, Thursday, in girls’ basketball.

Hannah Chaput of EL (6-3) scored a game high 19 points to lead the Red Eddies. Jade Perry nailed two 3s and added 12 points, while Grace Fontaine also scored 10.

Morse (1-8) was led by Marissa Parks’ nine points, followed by Sierra Wallace who added seven in the loss.

Oxford Hills 83, Cony 24

PARIS — Julia Colby put up 19 points and Maighread Laliberte added 12 to lead Oxford Hills to an 83-24 win over Cony in a girls’ basketball tilt on Thursday.

Laliberte also drained three 3-pointers for the Vikings, while Jada Adams contributed 11 points in the victory.

Linelys Velazquez paced the Rams with nine points on three treys.

Carrabec 44, Mt. Abram 39

NORTH ANSON — After trailing by four points at the half, Carrabec used a 15-7 third quarter run to take command and hung on to notch a 44-39 girls’ basketball win over Mt. Abram on Thursday.

Melanie Clark led the Cobras (4-5) with 16 points, while Olivia Fortier chipped in with 10.

The Roadrunners (5-5) were paced by Lindsay Huff with 11 points, while Summer Ross tallied 10.

Lisbon 40, Hall-Dale 35

FARMINGDALE — Giana Russo ignited a 17-12 fourth quarter run that allowed Lisbon to secure a 40-35 victory over Hall-Dale in more girls’ hoops action Thursday.

Russo led the Greyhounds (4-6) with 12 points, including four in that key final frame. Valerie Doucete also contributed with eight points.

The struggling Bulldogs (2-8) were paced by Kayla Searles with a solid eight-point effort, while Cat Kincaid chipped in with seven.

Poland 49, Wells 39

POLAND — After building a nine-point advantage in the first frame, Poland hung on to post a 49-39 mid-season victory over Wells in a girls’ hoops matchup Thursday.

Nathalie Theriault led the Knights (6-3) with a triple-double, lighting the boards for 14 points, pulling down 13 rebounds and making 10 assists. Jessica Seeley led all scorers with a 20-point performance.

Franny Ramsdell led Wells (4-5) with a solid 12-point effort, while Kenzie Foss chipped in with eight.

Dirigo 39, Telstar 32

BETHEL — Dirigo closed out a tight game with a 13-9 edge in the final frame, just enough to secure a 39-32 victory over Telstar on Thursday evening.

Alexa Varnum led the Cougars (1-9) with 11 points, while Sophie Jacques chipped in with 10.

The winless Rebels (0-10) were led by Sadie Richardson with a fine 12-point effort, while Calla Orino tallied 10.

Brunswick 57, Leavitt 27

TURNER — Charlotte MacMillan poured 21 points into the net on Thursday to propel Brunswick to a 57-27 romp over Leavitt in more girls’ hoops action.

Marley Groat chipped in for the Dragons with 17 points an a powerful two-player attack.

The Hornets were paced by Sophie Gilbert with a solid 16-point performance.

Gray-NG 34, Yarmouth 20

YARMOUTH — Bri Jordan scored 13 points and Jordan Grant added 12 as Gray-New Gloucester (7-2) pulled away from Yarmouth (5-5) in a Western Maine Conference girls’ basketball contest Thursday.

Jordan scored two 3-point baskets in the first quarter as the Patriots built an 8-3 lead.

Margaret McNeil paced the Clippers with eight points, including two from beyond the arc.
