Winthrop High School inducted 12 students into the National Honor Society on Jan. 7. In order to qualify, students must showcase their competence in four areas: scholarship, leadership, service and character. In back, new inductees are Cassaundra Harmatys, Moriah Hajduk, Hanna Caprara, Maguire Anuszewski, Jackson Ladd, Shelby Cobb, Nora Conrad, Makayla Wilbert, Emily St. Pierre, Samantha Neumann and Samuel Figueroa. Clara Szakas was absent. In front are current members, Vincent Scott, Hannah McLaughlin, Kinli DiBiase, Sierra Huff, Jordan Belanger, Fantasia Perez, Ben Boulay, Pearl Bechard, Kathryn Ross, Portia Hardy and Joey Tierney.
