Lunch canceled for storm
OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Community Lunch, planned for Wednesday, Jan. 17, has been canceled due to a predicted snowstorm.
First Auburn Seniors to present award
AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, for a meeting and spaghetti and meatball dinner. Those attending must have a ticket. Bingo will be played. The Charles Morse Award will be presented.
There were 30 members present at the last meeting. Attendance winners were Carol LePage and Diane Vincent; pot of gold, Brenda Brann, Suzanne Blanchard and Fran St. Pierre; 50/50, Joline Bell, Linda Legere and Sara Theriault.
Library tasting spice from around world
NORWAY — To celebrate Multicultural Book Day, the children’s and teen departments at Norway Memorial Library are hosting a special program from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 258 Main St.
The program will introduce patrons to flavors from five countries where everyday spices come from. The library will have books, games and samples to explore. This event is free and open to the public.
