LEWISTON — The Middle School was ordered closed on Friday after a threat was found scrawled on a bathroom wall.
School Superintendent Bill Webster posted on social media late Thursday afternoon that the message implied a threat against the school. The contents of the message were not disclosed.
Lewiston police are investigating.
Other Lewiston schools will be open with one exception: Star Academy was also ordered closed on Friday because of its proximity to the middle school.
According to Webster’s post, school teachers, techs and secretaries are to report on Friday to the Green Ladle Restaurant, on the grounds of the high school.
Classes at Lewiston Middle School are cancelled tomorrow. A message was written in a bathroom that made a threat against the school for Friday. The LPD is investigating. LMS teachers, ed techs and secretaries are to report to the Green Ladle. All other Lewiston schools are open.
