New knitting group to meet
HARRISON — A new knitting group will start meeting from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Mondays at the Caswell Conservancy Center on Main Street.
The group is open to all, regardless of experience.
SeniorsPlus at Wilton library
WILTON — SeniorsPlus will be at the Wilton Free Public Library the first Thursday of every month from 1 to 4 p.m. The organization will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.

Winter Farmers Market open
FARMINGTON — The Winter Farmers Market is held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through May at the Grange Hall, 124 Bridge St.
Cookbook discussion Feb. 1
NORWAY — Norway Memorial Library will host a cookbook discussion with recipes from “The Chili Cookbook: A History of the One-Pot Classic,” with cook-off worthy recipes from three-bean to four-alarm and con carne to vegetarian by Robb Walsh.
The event will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 1.
Discussion will be about the book and its recipes. The library will provide bread to go along with the chili. Attendees must bring a dish to participate and may bring containers to take home samples.
The cookbook will be available at the information desk to browse and make free copies of the recipes.
