MONMOUTH — Ronald L. Mocciola Sr., 73, a resident of Monmouth, passed away Monday, Jan. 22, at his home. He was born March 31, 1944, in the Bronx, N.Y., the son of Gerard Mocciola and Anastasia (Bougades) Mocciola, immigrants from Italy and Greece. Ron attended school in the Bronx, and relocated to Monmouth in 1964.

He was a motorcycle and automotive mechanic at his businesses, Brothers Custom Cycles and R.M. Motors. Ron was a member from 1984-1991 of the International Painters and Allied Trades Industry. He was an avid Harley-Davidson rider and a member of the United Bikers of Maine. Ron was a member of the American Kennel Club and raised and trained German shepherds. Ron loved Maine, hunting, fishing and playing billiards.

He is survived by his daughters, Wyndee Grosso and husband, Peter, of Westbrook, and Angeline Pepper, of Monmouth; sons, Ronald Mocciola II and wife, Kate, of Yarmouth, and Niklaos Mocciola, of Monmouth; and eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Gerard Mocciola; and sisters, Madelon Roy, Joanne Mocciola and Mary Lynne Mocciola.
