LEWISTON — Thomas A. Lanois 83, a resident of Bates St. in Lewiston, passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 27, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion, with his loving family by his side following a long illness.

He was born in Lewiston on Aug. 12, 1934, the son of Wilbrod and Eva Lanois.

Thomas was employed for many years at Knapp Shoe, until its closing.

He was a proud man who loved his family and was very generous. He also loved working around his yard

Tom especially loved his wife, Beverly, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly, of Lewiston; one brother, Roger Lanois, of Auburn; one sister, Claudette Pelletier, of Lewiston; one son, Robert Lanois, and wife, Okkun, of Leominister, Massachusetts; one daughter, Doris Dunn, and husband Greg, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Also surviving are two grandchildren Irene Lee Lanois of Somerville, Massachusetts, and Dean Lanois of Myanmar.

Besides his parents, Tom was predeceased by a brother, Albert.
