SUMNER — Larry Abbott Conant, 74, of Sumner, passed away Thursday, Jan. 25, at his home.
He was born Oct. 1, 1943, in Norway, to Leon and Florence (Hadley) Conant. He graduated from Norway High School and served his country in the U.S. Army. He married Rosalie Ellen Currier on June 27, 1987.
Larry worked at Marcal Paper in Mechanic Falls for 20 years, C.B. Cummings for 16 years, MidWest Price as a mangler/debarker for six years and then enjoyed driving for Community Concepts.
He enjoyed working on vehicles and going out to eat with his wife. Larry was a member of the West Paris American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie; three brothers, Leon and significant other, Helvey, Albert and his wife, Alberta, and Doug and his wife, Caroline; one sister-in-law, Althea Conant; two brothers-in-law, Ivory and his wife, Yvette Currier, and Eddie Currier; his best friend, Steve Wilbur, of Massachusetts.
He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Marie; and his brother, Howard.
