OTISFIELD — The Otisfield Volunteer Firefighter Association and other members of the community will host the Otisfield Winter Carnival. All events are free.

The carnival is for the whole community, adults and children. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all events.

Events being planned for Sunday, Feb. 11 are:

1 to 4 p.m., Cardboard sled building at the Otisfield Community Hall. Cardboard and duct tape will be provided.

Events being planned for Saturday, Feb. 17 are:

8:30 to 9:30 a.m., Spurr’s Corner Church, breakfast, sponsored by the church.

10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Community Hall, carnival games with prize table, snow sculpture competition and horse-drawn wagon rides.

11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., lunch provided by Haggerty Farm.

12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Town Office, Make & Take crafts and cookie decorating, sponsored by the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church.

2 p.m., registration for cardboard sled race; 2:30 p.m., cardboard classic sled race.

5 to 7 p.m., Community Hall, Italian theme dinner. Donations will go to the Christmas winter clothing fund for Otisfield children.
