The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at the New Gloucester Meetinghouse, 389 Intervale Road, next to the Town Hall. Refreshments will be served.
Historical society sub-committee to meet
MECHANIC FALLS — The Mechanic Falls Historical Society will hold a special sub-committee meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, to discuss the story of the 103rd Infantry Regiment of the Maine National Guard during World War II.
At January’s meeting, although the history of the 103rd Regiment dates back to the Revolutionary and the American Civil War eras, as well as World War I, society members felt it was better to initiate the impact the regiment had with the region and its populace during World War II and proceed from there.
The meeting will be held at the Anglican Church, 64 Elm St. The public is welcome to attend and contribute. For more information, contact Eriks Petersons at 207-345-3134 or at [email protected]
