LIVERMORE FALLS — Spruce Mountain Adult & Community Education will offer a Financial Literacy Program, in conjunction with Prudential, over a four-week period this spring. Each seminar will run from 5 to 7 p.m. Fridays, March 23 and 30, April 6 and 13, at 9 Cedar St.
The instructor will be Herb Moyer, a retired 28-year high school teacher and financial professional with Prudential.
The first week will focus on “Savings and Investing Basics” and “What is a Mutual Fund?”.
The second week will provide information on “Don’t Try to Predict the Market” and “Understanding Portfolio Statistics of Mutual Funds.”
“Financial Challenges That Matter Most” and “Protecting Yourself from Identity Theft” will be covered in the third week.
The final week will focus on “Money Talks for Teens” and “Strategies for College Funding.”
