High school to host competition

AUBURN — Edward Little High School will host a winter guard competition at 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25, at the ELHS gym. The show will include nine winter guard and two percussion groups from around central and southern Maine and the University of New Hampshire.

The Edward Little HS group consists of eight students performing a variety of dance moves, incorporating flags and equipment similar to the fall color guard as seen with marching bands at football games. The ELHS routine is based on the Eurythmics song, “Sweet Dreams.”

Admission is $7 for adults, $5 for students and senior citizens and $20 max for a family of four.

Volunteers needed to help seniors
