Bradbury Mountain family day planned

POWNAL — Bradbury Mountain State Park will have its first Winter Family Fun Day Saturday, Feb. 24. 

The ski and snowshoe equipment use will be available for free use. Guided snowshoe walks will take place at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Adaptive Nordic skiing and snowshoeing will be showcased, and fat bike demonstrations will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A food truck will be open.

The cost to attend is free with park admission, which is $1 for ages 5 to 11, $4 for Maine residents ages 12 to 64, $6 for nonresidents ages 12 to 64, $2 for nonresidents 65 and older, and free for persons younger than 5 and Maine residents 65 and older.

Tri-town Democrats to hear speaker

MINOT — A Minot, Mechanic Falls, Poland Democratic meeting will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 1, at the Minot Town Office.

Guest will be Jay O’Hara, leading a discussion on climate change. O’Hara is a climate change activist from Cape Cod.

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club plays at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave.

Historical society archives open house

NEW GLOUCESTER — The New Gloucester Historical Society Archives, 389 Intervale Road, next to the Town Hall, will hold an open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 3.

Many topics can be researched. It is open to the public.
