Police in Jay and Livermore Falls are investigating reports of broken windows in a home, a car and a business Saturday and Sunday.
On Sunday, a living room window and a storm door window at a home on Haines Corner Road in Livermore Falls were reported broken by a ball-bearing, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said. The report came in at 3:02 p.m.
At 4:26 p.m., a report of a broken side window and a rear window of a car on Richardson Avenue was received, Steward said. They appeared to be broken by a ball-bearing, he said.
Officer Darian Nadeau is the primary investigator on the cases.
On Saturday, Jay police received a report at 9:52 p.m. of glass shattered in the front door to Franchetti’s Home Town Variety on Main Street, Jay Police Chief Richard Caton IV said.
According to officer Dylan Rider’s report, it appears to have been done by BBs, Caton said.
The cases in both towns appear to be similar, he said.
