(Photo Caption) Shirley Simond and Rita Gagnon are checking out the big “chaudrons” (cooking pans) that will be used to make pea soup, one of the traditional items being featured on the menu at an old-fashioned sugar shack dinner to be served by the Knights of Columbus Council 106 on March 13 at the KC hall on East Avenue, Lewiston. The proceeds from the event will help fund the Festival de Joie planned for August.
