WEST PARIS — Doris Elizabeth Ford (Johnson), 95, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris, with her loving family close by.
Doris was born in Long Island, N.Y., the daughter of Ida and Albert Johnson. She graduated from Sewanhaka High School in Floral Park, N.Y. and was employed by Richard Hudnut Cosmetics, Fifth Avenue, New York, N.Y.
She also lived in Seaford, N.Y., Cold Spring Harbor, N.Y., and Ft. Meyers, Fla. Doris had many interests and talents, including being an avid golfer, sailor and bridge player. She loved playing the piano and singing, and enjoyed many hours walking along the beach in search of shells and other treasures.
She is survived by her brother, Warren Johnson of N. Fort Meyers, Fla. She will be missed by her daughters, Lynn Flint and husband, Bob, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Susan Howard and husband, Neil, of Louisville, Ky., and Kathy Paquette and husband, Ken, of Greenwood; as well as her grandchildren, Scott, Kiersten, Ashleigh and Jared; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Ford, and brother, George Johnson.
