AUBURN — Katherine (Kay) Edith Cunningham Labrack, 99, passed away Friday, March 2.

She was born Jan. 22, 1919, to Melzar A. and Lulu (Simmons) Cunningham in Augusta. She was valedictorian of her 1937 graduating class at Cony High School. Kay worked at Central Maine Power Co. for seven years and the Lahey Clinic in Boston for two years. On Feb. 28, 1952, she married Edson K. Labrack of Fairfield Center. After living in Augusta for many years, they moved to Manchester. Edson passed away Jan. 7, 1998. She was a member of the Kennebec Valley Garden Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Augusta Country Club, and the South Parish Congregational Church. Kay enjoyed golfing, skiing and sewing.

She is survived by her son James and wife, Glenda, of Mechanic Falls; grandsons, Casey of Washington, D.C., and Jeffrey of Mechanic Falls; her sister Betty Embree of California.

She was predeceased by her husband, Edson, and sister Dorothy Slaughter.
