VA to host town hall meeting

RUMFORD — VA Maine is hosting a Veterans Town Hall Meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at American Legion Post 24.

Updates on the VA Maine Healthcare System and the Togus Regional Office operation will be presented by the VA Center director and the acting regional office director. VA staff will be on-site to provide detailed information.

A question-and-answer session will be offered. Refreshments will be served.

Annual Luck of the Irish Night

PHILLIPS — The annual Luck of the Irish Night will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 17, featuring a potluck supper at the Phillips Area Community Center, 21 Depot St. All are welcome to bring a dish to share.

Admission will be one unscratched lottery ticket of any denomination. All others pay $5. There will be cabaret seating and families with children are welcome.

There will be games, prizes and sing-alongs. Proceeds will benefit building maintenance.

VFW Pajama Party Dance March 17

JAY — The VFW will host a Pajama Party Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 17, at the VFW hall, 64 Jewell St.

There will be door prizes, light refreshments and music by the Mixed Up Group. Participants should wear pajamas.

All proceeds go to VFW National Home for Children. Tickets are $10 per person or $17 for couples.

NORWAY — The members and friends of The Weary Club will meet for coffee at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at the clubhouse in Norway.

Legion to host Texas Hold’em event

LOCKE MILLS — A Texas Hold’em will be held Saturday, March 17, at the  Jackson-Silver Post 68, American Legion, 595 Gore Road.

Doors will open at 11 a.m. and games will begin at 1 p.m. There will be 50/50, pull tabs, meals and beverages available.
