NEW VINEYARD — A North Anson woman suffered minor injuries Friday morning when the car she was driving south on Route 27 drifted off the road and rolled over near Ramsdell Road, Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said.

Franklin County Detective Kenneth Charles broke the rear window of the car that rolled onto its roof to get driver Brenda Bryson, 62, out of the car.

She was walked by NorthStar EMS personnel to a nearby ambulance.

While the driver suffered only “minor injuries,” she was taken by ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, Nichols said.

Deputy Keith Madore said that “alcohol consumption/intoxication was a factor for the crash,” Nichols said.
