AUBURN — Jack E. Lasko, 79, of Auburn, passed away Thursday, March 15, at the Hospice House with his children by his side. Jack was born in Fairmont, W. Va., on May 7, 1938, to George and Helen Lasko. He proudly served our country aboard the USS Saratoga aircraft carrier from 1955 to 1959. Jack was a hard worker all his life. After his retirement from Auburn Public Works, he continued working at Emerson Chevrolet until his recent illness prevented him from working. Jack loved all animals. And he was proud of recently celebrating 33 years of sobriety. For those who knew Jack, “Have you heard the one about …” was often his greeting. He is survived by his children, Brenda Cyr and husband, Marc, Mike Lasko and wife, Tammy, Sharon Hackett and husband, John, Christie Kyajohnian and husband, Mike, Jill Perkett and husband, David, Bruce Woodard and wife, Linda, Jim Woodard, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by his wife/soul mate Carol Lasko, his parents and brother Pete and sister Berniece.

The family would like to thank CMMC staff on M1 and the Hospice House for their loving care and support.
