AUBURN — Charles A. Johnson Jr., 63, of Auburn, passed away on Monday, March 19, at the Hospice House in Auburn. He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 27, 1954, to parents Charles and Eva Johnson.
Charles was a devoted self-employed mechanic, and dedicated his time to working on cars. He owned his own garage, “Dun Rite Auto Repair”
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Holly Johnson of Auburn; four sons, Charles Johnson III of Arizona, James Johnson of Oklahoma, Jason Wing of Auburn and Chester Wing of Hebron; two daughters, Melony Wing of Hebron and Brandy Shadle; many, many grandchildren, nieces and nephews; four sisters, Madelyn Grover and her husband, Denis, of Poland, Charlene Beaudry of Lewiston, Carol A.J. Charest and husband, Ron, of Lewiston and Beth Selleck and her husband, Brian, of Poland; and a sister-in-law, Linda Johnson of Poland.
Charles was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Bert Johnson and Michael Johnson; and a niece, Rebecca Grover.
