LEWISTON — Janice Lorraine Levesque of Ferry Road, Lewiston, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, with family by her side.

Janice was born May 10, 1931, and married Armand R. Levesque on Feb. 3, 1951.

Janice worked side by side with the love of her life, Armand, working the dairy farm, Levesque’s Dairy, and then running Levesque’s Variety located on Lisbon Street in Lewiston for 30 years. She loved and treasured most her two children, Paul and Pauline, along with her four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Janice was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Armand R. Levesque and her brother, Richard Pinette.

Janice leaves behind her son, Paul, and Suzanne Levesque of Leeds; her daughter, Pauline, and George Hanley of East Millinockett; her sister, Joanne McKee and family from Florida; and her niece, Diane Hurley and family. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Jessica and Brad Tripp, Paula Nagy, Joshua Levesque and his fiancee, Julia Connor, and Peter and Becca Levesque. Her great-grandchildren are Aaron, Austin and Autumn Tripp, and Reese and Alec Nagy; her cat of 14 years, “Lucky;” and many, many extended family and friends.

A very special thank you goes out to Dick and Susan Stukas and family as well as Roger and Sandy Belanger, wonderful neighbors who were always there for both her and Armand later on in life.

The family would also like to thank the staff at both the Meadows and the Hospice House for all of their caring and support.
