LEWISTON — Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services is hosting its 18th annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Carriage House.
This year’s Celebrity Waiters include Sharon Rose Vasnis, NewsenterMaine; Lori Voornis and Kristen Wears, Q97.9; Danielle Waugh, NECN; Dustin Wlodkowski, NewscenterMaine; and Christina Frank, WMTW.
Also, Barry Schmeiks and Marshall McCamish, Auburn Police Dept.; Andrew Robinson, district attorney; Adam Higgins, Lewiston Police Dept.; and Mike Chavez, Maine State Police.
Other waiters are Molly McGill, Brand Collective; Lindsey Sawyer-Brown, UNE and the CAC; Dr. Rose Sheline, Maple Way Dental Care; Mamie Ney, Auburn Public Library; Sabrina Best, Auburn Rec. Dept.; and Mike Davis, Walton School principal. This year’s MC is Jeff Peterson, morning anchor of WGME TV news.
Waiters will be assigned to a table and will share their talents with the crowd. Music for the event will be provided by Magical DJ. Included in the event are a silent and a live auction of items from local artisans and businesses, including sports memorabilia, art prints, jewelry, quilted items, Sea Dogs tickets and restaurant gift certificates.
Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Services provides support and assistance to people affected by sexual assault, sexual abuse, stalking and sexual harassment. Services include a 24-hour response line; support groups; drop-in programs at local high schools and elder housing units; accompaniment to local hospitals, law enforcement and court proceedings; outreach services and school and community awareness and prevention presentations.
